Curriculum & Instruction - The Giving Tree adopts a child-centered play-based approach, inspired by Reggio Emilia, emphasizing wonder and curiosity in learning. - Children are viewed as natural scientists, fostering strong theories about the world through exploration and inquiry. - The school provides a fully equipped nursery where learning is integrated with play, backed by a deep scientific understanding of child development. - The curriculum aims to build a strong foundation for academic success through playful inquiry. - Focus is placed on each child’s individual needs. - Learning environments promote creative expression, opportunities for play, and critical thinking, encouraging active engagement. - Classes are structured for different age groups: Ladybugs (18-24 months) focusing on sensory and movement activities; Caterpillars (2-3 years) integrating science, music, and art; Butterflies (3-4 years) encouraging experimentation and problem-solving; Dragonflies (4-5 years) focusing on essential life skills through experimentation; and Fireflies (5-6 years) utilizing project-based learning.
